President Aliyev signs order on additional measures to ensure operation of Alat FEZ Approves agreement with UN-Habitat programme
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order "On additional measures to ensure the activities of the Alat Free Economic Zone".
The authorized structure of the Alat Free Economic Zone will be transferred a part of the state-owned land plot with an area of 23.74 hectares located on the administrative territory of the Garadagh district of Baku and designated as the territory of the Alaat Free Economic Zone, with the right of one-time, gratuitous and permanent use, Caliber.Az reports, citing the president’s official website.
The Ministry of Economy, the authorized structure of the Alat Free Economic Zone and the Baku International Commercial Sea Port CJSC have been instructed to resolve issues arising from the order.
In addition, President Aliyev signed a decree approving the agreement between Azerbaijan and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT) on holding World Human Settlements Day in Baku in 2023.
The State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture is tasked to ensure the implementation of the provisions of the agreement.
The agreement was signed on September 27 this year in Baku.
