Blast at Buenos Aires agrochemical plant injures over 20 VIDEO
A powerful explosion rocked an agrochemical manufacturing plant in a suburb of Buenos Aires, Argentina, injuring at least 22 people, according to La Nación.
The blast shattered windows in nearby residential areas, leaving multiple residents with cuts and injuries from broken glass.
A hospital doctor in Ezeiza, where the explosion occurred, said the facility was treating people with lacerations, other injuries, and burns sustained during the incident.
Firefighters rushed to the scene, and aerial footage shows flames spreading across a large area, with thick columns of smoke rising from the plant. Authorities warned residents to keep windows closed due to the potential release of toxic substances.
The nearby Ministro Pistarini International Airport continues to operate normally. The cause of the explosion has not yet been established.
