President Erdogan calls Greece to "refrain from dreams, come to senses"
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called on Greece to stop the militarisation of "Eastern Aegean islands" with non-military status" and to act "in accordance with international agreements".
President Erdogan said Türkiye will continue hydrocarbon resources exploration in the Black Sea and Eastern Mediterranean, Anadolu Agency informs.
He added that some Greek politicians are trying to remain relevant with words and actions that are far from reality, contrary to logic and law.
"You can't get anywhere with this," Erdogan addressed the Greek premier Kyriakos Mitsotakis, saying Greece acts as if it is making touristic landings on Aegean island.
Türkiye will not relinquish its rights in the Aegean Sea, and will not hesitate to use its powers stemming from international agreements, said the president.
Erdogan, referring to Greek acts in Aegean, warned Athens to refrain from "dreams, actions that will result in regret just as it was a century ago" and to '"come to senses".
