Priest injured in Ukrainian drone attack on Russia's Sudzha town

The rector of the Holy Trinity Church, Archpriest Yevgeny Shestopalov, was injured in a drone attack carried out by Ukrainian forces in Sudzha town in Russia's Kursk region. 

The incident occurred near the House of Folk Art, NEWS.ru reports.

Shestopalov sustained minor shrapnel wounds to his face and left leg. He has received initial medical treatment. Local authorities are investigating the circumstances of the attack.

The Russian Ministry of Defence reported that, from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Moscow time on January 5, air defence forces shot down eight drones over the Kursk region.
