Putin schedules operational meeting of Russia’s Security Council

Russian President Vladimir Putin has scheduled an operational meeting with the permanent members of the Security Council, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov announced on Friday, February 6.
According to Peskov, who was quoted by TASS, such meetings are held by the president on a regular basis, typically about once a week.
He specified that the meeting would take place in the early part of the afternoon.
“In the early part of the second half of the day, the president will hold an operational meeting with the permanent members of the Security Council,” Peskov said.
The agenda of the meeting has not yet been disclosed. Peskov noted that the president will traditionally announce the topic at the start of the discussion.
