Putin signs decree calling up Russian reserves for military training

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree ordering the call-up of citizens in the reserve for military training in 2026. 

The decree, which was published on the official Russian Federation legal acts website, mandates that individuals in the reserve be summoned for training with various branches of the Russian military, Caliber.Az reports. 

The document specifies that reservists will be called up for training not only with the Armed Forces of Russia but also with the National Guard, the Ministry of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief, as well as state security agencies and the Federal Security Service.

The decree came into force on December 8.
