Putin: West understands risk of retaliatory strike

Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that Western countries have not yet reached the stage of launching strikes against Russia from their own territory because they understand they would face retaliation, according to Ria Novosti.

He said: “They understand that there will be a retaliatory strike. Everyone understands, or should understand.”

The Russian president also noted that when Ukrainian drones enter the Baltic states, officials there “do not point a finger at Moscow; they say that these are Ukrainian drones.”

Putin added that Western countries have not yet gone as far as using their own territory for such actions, although they do host military production facilities.
