UK military helicopter crash leaves three service members dead VIDEO / UPDATED
Three British Royal Navy crewmembers were killed after a military helicopter crashed during a training exercise in southwest England, the United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defence has confirmed.
The helicopter, which went down near the village of Sourton Devon during the early hours of June 3, belonged to the Royal Navy, according to an official statement issued by the ministry, Caliber.Az reports.

A Royal Navy helicopter has crashed in a field near a major A-road in Devon, England, a spokesperson for the force said, Express reports.
The incident occurred at approximately 4 a.m. on June 3, near Sourton.
A statement from authorities confirmed the crash, saying: “An incident occurred involving a Royal Navy helicopter just before 0400 on Wednesday 3 June near Sourton, Devon. An investigation is underway and it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time.”
Earlier, Devon and Cornwall Police said emergency services were dispatched after reports of a helicopter crash in a field at Sourton Down.
The force added: “Several road closures are in place around the A386 and A30 Sourton Cross slip and services area. The incident is ongoing and we will share more updates as we have them.”
Emergency services remain at the scene, while an investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
