Russia accuses UK of dragging Ukraine into Middle East conflict

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova accused the United Kingdom of drawing the “Kyiv regime” into a new “geopolitical adventure” in the Middle East.

Addressing a briefing, Zakharova said UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, echoing statements by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, expressed willingness to utilize the combat experience of Ukrainian forces to counter unmanned aerial systems operating in the Persian Gulf, TASS reports.

Zakharova further noted that London plans to deploy Ukrainian specialists to the region. “It seems that the British authorities are determined to involve their Ukrainian vassals in yet another geopolitical adventure,” she said, framing the move as part of a broader Western strategy in the Middle East.
