Russia, Algeria work to restore direct air service

Russia is working with Algeria to restore direct air connections between the two countries following the suspension of flights by Algerian national carrier Air Algérie.

Dmitry Yadrov, head of Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya), said the authorities were discussing the resumption of flights, TASS reports.

“We are working with Algeria to resume service,” Yadrov said.

Air Algérie had previously suspended its flights to Russia.
