Russia claims downing nine Ukrainian drones in border region

On the night of February 9, nine Ukrainian drones attacked the territory of the Starodubsky municipal district in the Bryansk region of Russia, said the head of the region Alexander Bogomaz.

According to him, air defence systems foiled the attack.

“Tonight, Ukrainian nationalists attacked the territory of the Starodubsky municipal district with a UAV. The air defence system of the Russian Armed Forces repelled the attack. As a result of the operation of the air defence system, all nine of the nine attacking aircraft were shot down,” Bogomaz wrote on his Telegram channel. No one was hurt in the attack, he said.
