Russia claims over 6,500 ceasefire violations by Ukraine during Easter truce
Russia’s Ministry of Defence has said that Ukrainian forces carried out thousands of ceasefire violations during the Easter truce, which Moscow says was repeatedly breached despite a declared pause in hostilities.
According to the ministry, Ukrainian armed forces continued strikes against Russian military positions and civilian infrastructure in border areas of the Belgorod and Kursk regions using drones and artillery. It stated that a total of 6,558 violations were recorded during the ceasefire period, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
The ministry also said Russian air defence systems destroyed 11 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the two regions.
It further reported that Ukrainian forces conducted 5,844 strikes using quadcopters, including 4,685 FPV drone attacks, 266 octocopter-type drone strikes, 144 aircraft-type drone operations, and 749 munitions drops from drones.
