Russia claims successful repulsion of overnight Ukrainian drone assault
Russian air defence forces intercepted and destroyed 113 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles during a large-scale overnight attack targeting several regions of the country, including a significant number over the Bryansk area.
According to Russian media, the information was released by the Russian Ministry of Defence. The ministry stated that air defence units on duty neutralised fixed-wing drones across multiple regions.
The statement specified that 50 UAVs were shot down over the Bryansk Oblast, 35 over Smolensk Oblast, 12 over Tver Oblast, and 10 over Novgorod Oblast. In addition, four drones were destroyed over Leningrad Oblast, while two were intercepted over Kaluga Oblast.
Russian authorities did not provide further details regarding damage or casualties in the reported regions.
