Russia confirms readiness to accept Iranian enriched uranium

Russia has reiterated that its proposals to receive enriched uranium from Iran remain in force, according to a statement by Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov.

Ushakov also emphasised that Moscow welcomes the ceasefire and ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran, while noting that the path toward achieving lasting peace in the region will not be short or straightforward.

Previously, Moscow had expressed its readiness to take custody of Iranian enriched uranium as part of efforts to support diplomatic progress and reduce regional tensions.
