Russia declines Armenia's invitation to Yerevan Dialogue Forum
Russia has opted not to attend the Yerevan Dialogue international forum, which is taking place in the Armenian capital from September 9 to 11.
David Karapetyan, Secretary General at Armenia's Foreign Ministry, confirmed that despite extending invitations to all their partners, including Russia, the country’s absence has been noted, Caliber.Az reports per Armenian media.
“It would be best to direct this question to the Russian side,” Karapetyan stated in response to inquiries about Moscow's absence. He added that no formal refusal had been communicated by Russia.
Organized by the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the Yerevan Dialogue Forum has seen participation from representatives of Western nations, Iran, India, and various international organizations. The forum aims to facilitate discussions on international and regional issues, yet the absence of a Russian representative highlights a notable gap in the event's coverage.
