Russia deploys thousands of “Mars” UAV detectors to Ukrainian frontline

Russia has deployed thousands of its “Mars” unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) detectors to the Ukrainian front, according to Sergei Shandobylo, development director of 3mx.

He made the announcement at the Interpolitex-2025 international exhibition of state security equipment, telling TASS, “Several thousand products have already been delivered to the front.”

Shandobylo explained that the Mars detector is primarily used in combination with Bulat detectors in the border region. While the Mars device identifies Ukrainian drones, the Bulat system tracks approaching FPV strike drones.

Earlier, in September, 3mx informed TASS that the Bulat detector was capable of identifying drones operating in the 7.2-gigahertz frequency band.
