Russia deports over 15,000 foreigners since early 2025, Interior Ministry says

Moscow police have expelled more than 15,000 individuals from Russia over the past nine months.

“More than 15,000 foreign citizens have been deported from Russia over the past nine months,” TASS quotes Acting Head of the Moscow Main Directorate for Migration Affairs of the Russian Interior Ministry Igor Dudnik as saying at a press conference.

Officials of the Russian Interior Ministry have been authorised since February 5 to independently decide on the administrative expulsion of foreign nationals and stateless persons for several offences.
