Russia destroys Ukrainian S-300 anti-aircraft missile system
The aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed the radar guidance station of the S-300 air defense system near Odessa and a warehouse of rocket and artillery weapons in the Kharkiv region. This was announced on Thursday by the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Major General Igor Konashenkov, reports TASS.
"Operational-tactical and army aviation hit 120 areas of concentration of manpower and Ukrainian military equipment. In addition, a radar guidance station of the Ukrainian S-300 anti-aircraft missile system was destroyed near Odessa, and a warehouse of rocket and artillery weapons was destroyed near Krasnopavlivka, Kharkiv region," Konashenkov said.
Konashenkov said that the Russian Aerospace Forces hit two ammunition depots during a special operation with high-precision air-launched missiles in the Chernihiv region, and destroyed more than 320 enemy fighters.
"Four control points, 34 areas of concentration of manpower and Ukrainian military equipment, as well as two ammunition depots in Novgorod-Seversky area of the Chernihiv region were hit by high-precision air-based missiles of the Russian Aerospace Forces during the day," Konashenkov said.
According to the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, as a result of the strikes, more than 320 enemy soldiers were destroyed, and 72 units of military equipment were disabled.
Konashenkov said that since the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 125 helicopters, 821 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), 3,013 tanks, and armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as 364 multiple rocket launchers.
"In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 164 aircraft, 125 helicopters, 821 unmanned aerial vehicles, 303 anti-aircraft missile systems, 3,013 tanks, and other armored combat vehicles, 364 multiple rocket launchers, 1,471 field artillery guns, and mortars, as well as 2,824 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed", - he said.
