Russia details extensive Ukrainian aerial attack across several areas

Air defence systems shot down dozens of Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) overnight from May 31 to June 1, according to a statement released by the Russian Ministry of Defence.

The ministry said eight federal subjects came under a large-scale attack, including Astrakhan, Volgograd, Voronezh and Rostov regions, as well as Crimea. UAVs launched by the Armed Forces of Ukraine were also intercepted over the Black Sea.

According to the statement, all destroyed drones were fixed-wing aircraft-type UAVs.
