Russia detains 70+ Armenian trucks carrying agricultural goods
02 September 2025 10:59
Russian law enforcement authorities have stopped and detained trucks belonging to the Armenian company “Spayka” without any apparent reason.
Currently, around 70–80 trucks carrying agricultural products are being held in Russia, and the number continues to grow, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.
“Spayka” is Armenia’s largest agricultural holding. The detention of these trucks could deal a serious blow not only to the company but also to Armenian agricultural producers, creating major disruptions in the export chain.
The reason behind Russia’s actions and whether they are temporary has not been officially announced.
Armenian media were also unable to obtain a comment from “Spayka.”
