Russia discovers rare 340-carat diamond in Arkhangelsk region

A unique high-quality diamond weighing 340 carats has been found at the V. Grib deposit in Russia’s Arkhangelsk region, Governor Alexander Tsybulsky announced on his Telegram channel.

According to Tsybulsky, this is the largest diamond ever recovered in the history of industrial development at the deposit, which is operated by AGD Diamonds. The gemstone also ranks among the five largest diamonds ever mined in modern Russia.

The governor highlighted that the crystal stands out not only for its impressive size but also for its exceptional quality. Experts estimate that only about 2% of natural diamonds worldwide have similar characteristics.
