Russia dominates grain supplies to Armenia in 2025
Russia remains by far the largest supplier of grain to Armenia, accounting for almost the entire volume of imports this year.
Between January and November 2025, Russian shipments made up 99.8% of Armenia’s grain imports, totalling 366,400 tonnes, Caliber.Az reports per Armenian media.
Despite this dominance, Armenia has also sourced small amounts from other countries in the former Soviet Union and the European Union. In total, these accounted for just 0.2% (1,731 tonnes) of imports.
Wheat purchases of 1,196 tonnes came from Kazakhstan, Belarus and Austria; barley imports of 1.93 tonnes were sourced from Austria, Germany and Italy; while corn imports of 534 tonnes arrived from Georgia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, France and Austria.
