Russia downs hundreds of Ukrainian drones, defence ministry says

Russia’s Ministry of Defence has said its air defence systems intercepted a large number of Ukrainian aerial assets over the past 24 hours, amid continued heavy fighting along multiple fronts in the war in Ukraine.

According to the ministry, Russian forces shot down 605 aircraft-type drones, 12 guided aerial bombs, and one HIMARS rocket system projectile, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media. 

The ministry also reported strikes on Ukrainian Armed Forces drone assembly facilities and fuel depots. 

In its daily briefing, the Russian Defence Ministry claimed that Ukrainian military losses across various sectors amounted to approximately 1,125 personnel over the same period.
