Russia downs nearly 40 Ukrainian drones overnight
On the night of November 25 to 27, Russian air defences destroyed and intercepted 39 Ukrainian drones over seven regions, according to the press service of the Russian Defence Ministry.
According to the ministry, most of all drones (24 pieces) were shot down over the territory of Rostov region, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
Five were shot down in the Bryansk region, three - over the Belgorod region, three - over the territory of the Kursk region, two - over the territory of the Republic of Crimea and one each over the Orel and Voronezh regions.
The day before, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Russian air defence forces shot down eight ballistic missiles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Six JDAM guided aerial bombs and 45 unmanned aerial vehicles of the aeroplane type were also destroyed.
Telegram channel Baza wrote that the target of the new attack of the AFU with long-range American ATACMS missiles on the territory of the Russian Federation could be an airfield located in the Kursk region.
Earlier, France recognised that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) strikes on Russian territory were impossible without “Western support on the ground”.
