Russia downs Ukrainian drone during overnight attack on Rostov region

Ukraine’s armed forces attempted to strike Russia’s Rostov region during the night of May 12, according to regional governor Yuri Slyusar.

Writing on Telegram, Slyusar said one drone was shot down in the Millerovsky district during efforts to repel the aerial attack.

“Last night, during the repelling of an air attack on the Rostov region, a UAV was destroyed in the Millerovsky district,” the official wrote.

He added that there were currently no reports of casualties or damage, though the information was still being clarified. Drone threat warnings remain in effect across the region.
