Russia extends tit-for-tat sanctions against UK
Russia has expanded retaliatory sanctions against the UK, adding 23 people to the list, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement, Caliber.Az reports.
"In connection with the implementation of London's anti-Russian course, within the framework of which the mechanism of personal sanctions is actively applied and comprehensive support is provided to the neo-Nazi regime in Kyiv, it was decided to expand the Russian stop-list by including representatives of the military-political establishment, journalistic corps and scientific community of Great Britain (23 people in total)," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
The blacklist included Anthony Radakin, Chief of Defence Staff of the UK Armed Forces, who supervises the training of Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) fighters on British territory.
"The list of British citizens who are now barred from entering the Russian Federation includes, in particular, the chief of defence staff of the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom, who supervises the training of AFU fighters on British territory, A. Radakin, the chairman of the Joint Intelligence Committee of the UK government, M. Alessandri, who is involved in the formulation of London's strategy in the Ukrainian direction, as well as the chairman of the board of directors of the British defence company BAE Systems, C. Hogg," the ministry said.
