Russia imposes temporary ban on Armenian agricultural goods
Russia’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) will impose temporary restrictions on the import of seed crops, eggplants, potatoes and dried fruits from Armenia starting June 3, TASS reports.
“From June 3, 2026, Rosselkhoznadzor is introducing temporary restrictions on the import of pome fruits, eggplants, potatoes and dried fruits originating from and shipped from Armenia, as well as on the transit of these products to EAEU member states, due to the absence of mechanisms to confirm the arrival of regulated products in these countries,” the statement said.
The agency added that the restrictions will remain in place until an appropriate mechanism is developed to ensure the safety of exported goods.
