Russia intercepts 55 Ukrainian drones overnight

Russian air defence forces intercepted and destroyed a total of 55 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) during the night of September 25-26, the Russian Defence Ministry said.

According to the ministry, 20 of the drones were shot down over the waters of the Sea of Azov. Another 14 UAVs were intercepted over the Rostov region, while an additional 14 were destroyed over the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea, Caliber.Az reports. 

Elsewhere, three drones were downed over the Krasnodar territory. One UAV was intercepted in each of the following regions: Kursk, Belgorod, Voronezh, and Tambov.

The ministry did not provide details on any potential damage or casualties resulting from the drone activity.
