Russia intercepts waves of drones across several regions
Overnight, Russian air defence systems intercepted multiple drone attacks across several regions, including Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Tambov, and others.
According to the Russian Defence Ministry, 24 aircraft-type drones were destroyed over Belgorod, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
Additionally, 21 drones were shot down over Bryansk, 19 over Voronezh, 13 over Tambov, nine over Nizhny Novgorod, five over Crimea, four over the Sea of Azov, three over Rostov, two over Lipetsk, and one each over Kursk, Tula, Smolensk, Volgograd, Krasnodar region, and the Black Sea.
In Tambov, a college building caught fire during a drone strike, injuring two people and damaging several other structures. In a Voronezh town, debris from a downed drone damaged a shed roof and a car.
Drone attacks in three districts of Rostov—Millerovo, Sholokhov, and Tarasovsky—were successfully repelled with no casualties. Smolensk and Tula regions reported no injuries or ground damage. Authorities in other regions have not yet commented on the nighttime attacks.
