Russia introduces airspace curbs around Vnukovo Airport
Operations at Vnukovo Airport have been placed under temporary restrictions, with flights now being handled only in coordination with unspecified “relevant authorities,” according to Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency, Rosaviatsiya.
The agency said restrictions on the use of airspace have been introduced in the area surrounding the airport as part of measures aimed at ensuring flight safety. Officials warned that these ограничения may lead to changes in flight schedules and advised passengers to check the status of their flights using the airport’s online departure and arrival boards.
Authorities in Moscow have not reported any incidents involving intercepted drone attacks on the city on Thursday.
Earlier in the day, Pulkovo Airport also imposed operational restrictions after a drone threat alert was declared in the Leningrad region.
