Russia launches carrier rocket into orbit

Russia’s Space Forces successfully launched a Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome, deploying a satellite in support of the Russian Ministry of Defence.

The ministry told TASS that on April 3, at 09:28 Moscow time, the Space Forces of the Aerospace Forces successfully launched a medium-class Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket carrying a spacecraft in the interests of the Russian Ministry of Defence.

The launch took place from the State Test Cosmodrome of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation in the Arkhangelsk region.
