Russia readies intercontinental ballistic missiles for launch from multiple regions
Intercontinental ballistic missiles of the Yars missile system have been loaded into launchers in various regions of Russia, according to the country’s Ministry of Defence, cited by TASS.
The ministry notes that the operation was carried out ahead of the Day of the Strategic Missile Forces (SMF).
The defence ministry said that the rearmament of the Strategic Missile Forces involves not only equipping the troops with the latest missile systems, but also creating modernised infrastructure that provides better conditions for training on-duty forces, maintaining combat duty, and ensuring proper rest for servicemen.
The implementation of the planned rearmament measures for the Strategic Missile Forces will help increase the number of modern strategic missile systems and expand the capabilities of the grouping to carry out assigned tasks, the ministry added.
