Russia names “shortest path” to ending Ukraine conflict
Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said that the quickest way to end the conflict in Ukraine would be for the United States and NATO to halt military-technical assistance to Kyiv.
Speaking in an interview with TASS, Ryabkov stated: “This is also well known, our signals are being conveyed to Washington, but unfortunately they do not produce the necessary effect.”
His comments come amid reports of potential diplomatic efforts to restart negotiations. On April 1, Bloomberg, citing sources, reported that US officials consider new talks between Russia and Ukraine possible. However, according to the report, there has been no tangible progress, and the positions of the two sides remain significantly divergent.
The report added that the White House is currently focused on the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
