Russia prepares alternative export routes amid security risks in Sea of Azov
14 July 2026 11:44
Russia is preparing alternative freight routes amid continued security risks in the Sea of Azov, the country's Ministry of Agriculture said.
In a statement, the ministry said the situation in the Sea of Azov would not affect Russia's domestic food supply or its agricultural export capabilities, Caliber.Az reports.
According to the ministry, the country has sufficient agricultural cargo transhipment capacity across multiple regions, allowing supply logistics to be redirected if necessary.
"Alternative routes for cargo flows are currently being worked out in collaboration with relevant departments and the business sector," the ministry said.
