Russia repels heavy overnight drone assault, downing 157 Ukrainian drones

Russian air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 157 Ukrainian drones during the night, the country’s Defence Ministry said on Telegram.

“Between 20:00 Moscow time on June 16 and 07:00 Moscow time on June 17, air defense systems on duty intercepted and destroyed 157 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles over the territories of the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Kaluga, Tula, Oryol, Smolensk, Lipetsk, Tver, Ryazan, Rostov, Astrakhan regions, the Moscow region, the Krasnodar Territory, the Republic of Crimea, and over the waters of the Black Sea,” the ministry said.
