Russia reports interception of 31 Ukrainian drones overnight

Russian air defence forces detected a surge of Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over the night of February 1 to 2, the Ministry of Defence said.

A total of 31 drones were destroyed or intercepted. The majority—22—were shot down over Belgorod region, Caliber.Az cites the ministry's Telegram post.

Four were destroyed over Krasnodar Krai, two over Rostov region, and one each over Astrakhan, Bryansk, and Kursk regions.

Earlier, the Defence Ministry said that between 18:00 and 23:00 Moscow time on February 1, Russian air defences destroyed 23 Ukrainian drones, including 12 over Krasnodar Region.
