Russia reports large-scale Ukrainian drone attack

Russia’s air defence systems destroyed and intercepted 99 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles during the night, the Russian Ministry of Defence said.

According to the ministry, the attacks were repelled between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. The highest number of drones—47—were shot down over the waters of the Black Sea. A further 29 UAVs were intercepted over the Belgorod Region, while 12 were destroyed over the Kursk Region.

The ministry added that four drones were intercepted over the Rostov Region and another four over the Astrakhan Region. Two UAVs were shot down over the territory of the Republic of Crimea, and one was intercepted over the waters of the Sea of Azov.
