Russia reports shooting down 40 Ukrainian drones overnight

Russia’s air defence forces said they shot down 40 drones belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) overnight from January 25 to 26, the Russian Ministry of Defence reported.

The ministry released the details of the large-scale overnight drone attack in a statement published on its official Telegram channel.

According to the ministry, the drones were intercepted in the following locations:

• 34 over Krasnodar Krai

• 4 over the Sea of Azov

• 1 over Bryansk Oblast

• 1 over Kaluga Oblast
