Russia restricts access to Patreon, Grammarly
Access to a separate page of the site for the distribution of creative works on a paid Patreon subscription is limited, it follows from the data of the Roskomnadzor service to check the restriction of access to sites and (or) pages of sites on the Internet.
One of the pages of the online platform for assistance in communicating in English Grammarly also got into the registry of the department, TASS reports.
According to the explanation in the register, access was restricted in accordance with the regulations for blocking sites containing calls for mass riots, extremism, participation in illegal mass actions. Roskomnadzor organises the restriction of access to such information on the basis of the request of the Russian prosecutor-general or his deputies.
Due to the blocking of pages, resource sites may be completely unavailable for a number of operators.
Patreon is a website where authors of videos, photos, images, music and other creative works can distribute their works by paid subscription or provide additional content for subscribers. It was founded in 2013.
In turn, the Grammarly platform was launched in 2010. The resource works on the basis of artificial intelligence and helps to compose texts in English for more productive communication.
