Russia’s 6-million-ton oil refinery hit in reported attack PHOTO / VIDEO

An attack has been reported at Orsknefteorgsintez, one of Russia’s leading oil refineries and the country’s oldest operating oil-refining enterprise, according to Exilenova+.

The refinery is located in Orsk in Russia’s Orenburg region and is currently owned by Forteinvest, one of the key companies in the industrial division of the SAFMAR Group.

Orsknefteorgsintez processes a blend of crude from the West Siberian and Volga-Ural oil and gas provinces, as well as gas condensate. The facility has an annual crude-processing capacity of about 6 million metric tons.
