Russia’s Elista-2024 economic forum brings together delegations from various countries

Head of Russia’s Kalmykia Batu Khasikov has written that the Fifth Anniversary Economic Forum "Elista-2024" brought together delegations from Azerbaijan, Russia, Kuwait, and China across ten thematic platforms. 

"The Fifth Anniversary Economic Forum 'Elista-2024' which opened in the capital of the Republic of Kalmykia on September 21 is a significant event for our republic, bringing together representatives from business, government, and civil society from various regions of Russia and around the world. Delegations from Kuwait, China, and Azerbaijan have joined us. This year, the forum features ten thematic sessions," he wrote on Telegram, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

Among the forum participants were experts from Moscow, Astrakhan, Ingushetia, and other regions of Russia. Khasikov noted that a significant number of projects have their inception at the economic forum and are already thriving. All sessions were organised given the needs of entrepreneurs, partners, and foreign delegations.

In particular, the forum focused on the economic development prospects of the Caspian littoral states within the International North-South Transport Corridor. During the forum, there were the presentations by entrepreneurs in the light industry and an exhibition titled "Made in Kalmykia". 

A local goods fair has been organised for residents and guests of the region, featuring a variety of products including meat and fish, candies, chocolate treats, jewelry, souvenirs, clothing, footwear, and accessories.
