Russia's intelligence chief warns of escalating threats from West
The risks and threats posed by Western countries have significantly increased, despite Russia never wishing any harm upon them, stated Sergey Naryshkin, Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR).
He emphasised that the West, in its attempt to maintain aggressive dominance in the modern world, is focusing its ambitions on the post-Soviet space, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
“Today, Russia operates in extremely challenging conditions amidst global turbulence,” Naryshkin noted.
Furthermore, Naryshkin asserted that Ukraine and its Western backers have waged a “real terrorist war” against Russia and its people.
Earlier, the SVR declared that the West is undermining Russia's authority in the Global South, highlighting the ongoing geopolitical tensions.
