27 August 2026 18:53

Russia’s international reserves stood at $761.2 billion as of August 21, increasing by $5.6 billion, or 0.7%, over the previous week, according to data released by the Bank of Russia.

“International reserves stood at $761.2 billion as of the end of the day on August 21, 2026, increasing by $5.6 billion, or 0.7%, over the week, mainly due to positive revaluation,” the regulator said.

The reserves totalled $755.6 billion as of August 14.

Russia’s record level of international reserves was $826.8 billion, reached on Jan. 30.

International reserves comprise highly liquid foreign assets held by the Bank of Russia and the Russian government. They include foreign currency assets, special drawing rights, Russia’s reserve position at the International Monetary Fund and monetary gold.
