01 October 2025 13:03
On October 1, Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) said it had detained five Russian citizens accused of plotting mass killings in several cities across the country.
In a statement, the FSB said its operations spanned 75 regions, where 325 administrators and users of online platforms were formally warned against spreading extremist ideology among young people.
According to the agency, the crackdown also targeted online communities. The FSB said it had disrupted the activities of 59 administrators of Telegram channels and chats accused of promoting neo-Nazi and terrorist propaganda.
Security services said they discovered detailed instructions for sabotage and terrorist operations in the suspects’ communications.
