Russia saturates Ukrainian airspace with drones, missile strikes overnight PHOTO
Russia launched a large-scale overnight attack on Ukraine on July 1, using an Iskander-M ballistic missile, a Kh-59 guided air-launched missile, and 151 drones, including “Shahed,” “Gerbera,” “Italmas,” and “Parody” decoy UAVs, according to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The aerial assault was countered by Ukrainian aviation, air defence missile units, electronic warfare forces, drone units, and mobile fire groups of the country’s Defence Forces.

According to preliminary military data, as of 07:30 local time, Ukrainian air defences had shot down or electronically suppressed the Kh-59 missile and 130 drones over northern, southern, and eastern regions of the country.
“Impacts from 17 attack drones were recorded at 16 locations, while debris from intercepted targets fell at four locations. Information regarding the ballistic missile's impact is being clarified. No reports of damage or casualties have been received so far.
The attack is ongoing, with several Russian drones still present in the airspace. Please follow safety guidelines,” the Ukrainian military said.
