Russia says 149 Ukrainian drones shot down in overnight operation

Russia’s Defence Ministry has said its air defence systems destroyed 149 Ukrainian drones in a large-scale overnight operation.
According to the ministry, the interceptions took place between 23:00 Moscow time on September 19 and 06:00 on September 20 across multiple regions, Caliber.Az reports.
The largest numbers were reported in the Rostov region, where 40 drones were downed, followed by 27 over Saratov, 18 in Bryansk and 15 in Samara. Twelve were destroyed over Crimea, while others were intercepted in Volgograd, Belgorod, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Smolensk and Nizhny Novgorod.
Russian forces also reported shooting down 15 drones over the Black Sea and three over the Sea of Azov.
