Russia said its air defence systems had intercepted and destroyed 354 Ukrainian drones overnight in what it described as a large-scale aerial attack spanning multiple regions.
In a statement, the Russian Ministry of Defence said the drones were downed by on-duty air defence units across a wide geographical area, including border regions and areas deeper inside the country.
“During the past night, on-duty air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 354 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles over the territories of the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Leningrad, Novgorod, Oryol, Pskov, Rostov, Smolensk, Tver and Tula regions, the Moscow region, Krasnodar Territory, the Republic of Crimea, and over the waters of the Sea of Azov,” the ministry said.
