Russian air defence systems intercepted and shot down dozens of Ukrainian drones during overnight operations, according to Russia’s Ministry of Defence.
In a statement released on February 25, the ministry said a total of 69 unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed. The largest number of drones — 24 aircraft-type UAVs — were downed over the Bryansk region.
Air defences also intercepted 18 drones over Crimea and 14 over the Smolensk region. Three UAVs were destroyed over the Black Sea, as well as three more each in the Tula and Oryol regions.
Additionally, one drone was shot down in each of the Kursk, Kaluga, Belgorod, and Moscow regions, the ministry said.
