Russia says air defences downed more than 750 Ukrainian drones
Russia's Ministry of Defence said its air defence systems intercepted and destroyed hundreds of Ukrainian aerial targets over the past 24 hours, including more than 750 drones, guided bombs, and rockets.
In a statement released on June 3, the ministry reported that Russian forces had shot down 754 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), six guided aerial bombs, and six rockets fired from U.S.-supplied HIMARS multiple-launch rocket systems, Caliber.Az reports.
"Air defence systems shot down six guided aerial bombs, six U.S.-made HIMARS rocket projectiles, and 754 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces," the ministry said.
The statement did not specify where the interceptions occurred or provide details on any resulting damage or casualties.
