Russia says it downed 185 Ukrainian drones overnight
On the night of March 10 to 11, Russian air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 185 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight across several regions of the country, Russia’s Ministry of Defence said.
According to the ministry, the drones were downed over the Astrakhan region, the waters of the Sea of Azov, and the Black Sea, as well as over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kursk, Rostov, Samara and Saratov regions and the Krasnodar Territory, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
The interceptions follow a series of similar attacks in recent days. The Defence Ministry said air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 17 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over three Russian regions the previous night.
In the Belgorod Region, a civilian was injured in the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka after an FPV drone detonated. In the city of Novy Oskol, a warehouse roof caught fire following a drone strike, while in Korocha, windows in two private homes were shattered.
